Join members of the Green Mountain Audubon Society to see returning warblers in their vibrant spring colors!
After a very successful outing last spring, the Green Mountain Audubon Society returns to Little River State Park in search of the many returning birds in breeding plumage that will be singing spring songs to call mates and mark territories. We will have three separate start times, allowing for smaller groups and providing birders the opportunity to choose which time works best for them. Ali Wagner will lead the "early bird" group heading out at 5:30 AM. Other GMAS board members will lead groups meeting at 6:30 and then at 7:30 AM. Experienced, novice, and new birders are welcome! Groups will travel approximately two miles over a paved surface with mostly gently rolling hills. Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available as the state park will not have opened for business. Parking will be along the road near the top of the Waterbury Dam or in the lot near the dam.
