The GMAS Birdathon at Mount Philo State Park

Date: Sunday, May 19, 2019

Time: 7:30 A.M.

Location: Mount Philo State Park, Charlotte, VT

Leaders: Nathaniel Sharp and Bruce MacPherson

Join the members of the GMAS for our annual Birdathon at Mount Philo State Park. This year we are fortunate that Nathaniel Sharp from the Vermont Center for Ecostudies will join us. Nathaniel is a recent UVM graduate majoring in Environmental Studies who is an Americorps volunteer with VCE this year. Nathaniel’s role at VCE is to promote the education of citizen-science naturalists who would like to learn more about tools like i-naturalist to enhance their experience.

This event is our one and only fundraiser during the year. The proceeds from this event will be used to support Audubon Vermont’s educational programs. No need to donate on site. Each participant will receive a self-addressed envelope and a Mount Philo bird checklist before the walk. You can donate later if you choose to do so. Of course, donations to the GMAS are always appreciated, but the most important reason to join us for this event is to enjoy birds and the natural beauty of Vermont..

Please register in advance for this event by sending us an e-mail. To do so simply select the Contact button on this website.
