Join the Green Mountain Audubon Society in welcoming Maeve Kim for the final part (4 of 4) of the highly praised New Birder Series on Thursday April 8th at 6:30 PM. This presentation is titled “Cheeps, Chirps, Hoots, and Whistles: How and Why Birds Make Noise” and is aptly timed as mid-April and early May is when lots of migrating and resident songbirds begin ramping up their daytime chorus, a true sign of spring!
Ever wonder how birds make all their various noises? Or why? Let’s spend time with bird song, bird calls, bird chips, and a whole lot of sounds that don’t fit any category. We’ll also talk about how we humans can get better at recognizing, identifying and learning bird sounds.
It should be a wonderful conclusion to this educational series and we hope to see you there!
