Celebrate the New Year with the GMAS and a bird walk along the Lake Champlain waterfront. Tradition has it that many birders begin their annual bird list with a morning walk on Jan. 1. Everything is fresh; everything is new; and hopefully the winter birds will cooperate.

We will meet at the Perkins Pier parking lot in Burlington to begin this event, then visit spots along the lake where there is open water. Dress warmly and check the weather before we begin.
