Birding is an activity enjoyed by many, but accessibility of birding destinations and trails can limit ones ability to interact with the avian world. A new non-profit called Birdability has focused their efforts on ensuring that the birding community and destinations are welcoming, inclusive, safe and accessible for everybody. Please join Birdability Coordinator and occupational therapist, Freya McGregor to learn more about why this issue should matter to you, the best ways to be a more welcoming and inclusive birder, how to contribute to a growing database of Birdability Site Reviews, and to find out about resources for birders (and potential future birders) with accessibility challenges.
