Bird Monitoring at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center

Location: Meet in the parking lot at the COFC

Each week on Friday mornings members of the GMAS survey the bird populations at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center in Williston. These monitoring walks are free and open to the public. The next survey is scheduled for Friday, September 10, starting at 7:00 A.M. We will meet in the COFC parking lot across from the McCullough's house on Governor Chittenden Road.

Bird Monitoring at the Green Mountain Audubon Center

Date: Saturday, September 11

Time: 7:00 A.M.-9:00 A.M.

Location: Green Mountain Audubon Center, Huntington, VT.

The Green Mountain Audubon Society conducts bird monitoring surveys once a month at selected locations at the Green Mountain Audubon Center in Huntington. The next survey is scheduled for Saturday, September 11 starting at 7:00 A.M. These walks are free and open to the public, although donations are always appreciated. Buck Mountain Hawk Watch

Date: Saturday, September 11 at 11 A.M.

Location: Buck Mountain in Waltham, VT.

Join the members of the GMAS and the Otter Creek Audubon Society for our annual hawk watch at Buck Mountain. The southward migration of raptors should reach its peak during the second week of September. Join us to see this amazing spectacle. We will meet at the Vergennes park-and ride area at the junction of route 7 and route 22A at 11 A.M. to car pool to Buck Mountain.
