The Art of Bobolinking
On Thursday evening, December 2, join the GMAS at the Shelburne Library in Shelburne, VT for an entertaining program, The Art of Bobolinking. Dr. Rosalind Renfrew, Conservation Biologist and acclaimed researcher at the Vermont Center for Ecostudies, will discuss her work using geolocator technology to follow Bobolinks as they migrate from Vermont to Argentina and back, making stopovers along the way.
Grassland birds like Bobolinks are in decline for many reasons, yet basic information about the factors responsible for this decline are only partially understood. Dr. Renfrew's work fills in some of the gaps in our knowledge and raises fascinating questions about the future of Bobolinks in North America.
This program will begin at 6:30 P.M. and is free and open to the public. Free parking is available next to the library. Please join us.
