Speaker: Jason Hill, Conservation Biologist, Vermont Center for Ecostudies
Date: Wednesday, February 21, 2018
Time: 6:30 P.M.
Location: Richmond Free Library, Richmond, VT
Jason will discuss his research studying the migration of endangered Grasshopper Sparrows and Upland Sandpipers. Growing up in Iowa, Jason was intrigued with how the natural world continued to exist in a heavily modified agricultural landscape. This biocentric wonder led him to research projects in the Rocky Mountains, the rain forests of Maui, the salt marshes of Connecticut, and the dry plains of Florida. Currently at VCE, Jason oversees the citizen-science project, Mountain Birdwatch.
This program is free and open to the public. The Richmond Free Library is located on Bridge St. in Richmond. Free parking is available on site.
